NEW BUSINESS
a) Convex
Mirrors
Convex mirrors
on the buses are too curved causing a distortion of the view for the driver.
They also can’t be adjusted properly, so proper view is unattainable. Management
Co-Chair will follow up.
Maintenance
are changing the mirrors. Issue has been resolved.
b) Driver’s
Window – ’06 Buses
2006 buses
have a stopper preventing the window from opening too far. This means that when
the window is fully open it obstructs the proper view of the rear view mirror.
Management Co-Chair will follow up.
Maintenance
aware and are moving the stopper. Issue has been resolved.
c) Yield to
Bus Law
Committee
members are concerned that not all vehicles are obeying the yield to bus law and
are requesting that the public be made more aware of the new law. Management
Co-Chair to talk to Superintendent of Operations.
d) Exiting
Islington Subway
Drivers are
experiencing difficultly when exiting Islington Subway compound during rush
hour. The cars are coming along Bloor Street and trying to get into the
Islington parking lot, and are blocking the exit.
Management
Co-Chair to follow up.
e) Kiss and
Ride Exit at Islington Subway
The kiss and
ride exit, exits on the Bloor Street, adding to the congestion that the parking
lot creates, which is leaving very little or no room to make a right turn.
Management
Co-Chair to follow up.
