NEW BUSINESS
a) Security
Truck
The
security truck is not shutting off its engine after it backs into the
maintenance area and waits for the bags causing exhaust fumes inside the garage.
Management co-chair will follow up.
Problem has
been corrected.
b) Hazard
Assessment Training
There will be
Hazard Assessment Training for all members of the Health and Safety Committee’s
scheduled for the following times:

December 6
from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
c) Confined
Space Guideline
The Committee
was presented with a new corporate confined space guideline that is under
review.
d) Convex
Mirrors
Convex mirrors
on the buses are too curved causing a distortion of the view for the driver.
They also can’t be adjusted properly, so proper view is unattainable. Management
Co-Chair will follow up.
d) Driver’s
Window – ’06 Buses
2006 buses
have a stopper preventing the window from opening too far. This means that when
the window is fully open it obstructs the proper view of the rear view mirror.
Management Co-Chair will follow up.
e) Truck
Parking on Cardiff
There is a
concern about trucks parking and being unloaded by a fork lift truck, on Cardiff
north of Derry Road. Trucks have also been blocking bus stops (#2943 & #2509)
creating an unsafe area for passenger to embark / disembark. Management
Co-Chair will follow up.
Next
meeting to be a combined meeting with Malton and Central Parkway on December 12th
at 9am. In the Malton Board Room.
