11.       NEW BUSINESS

a)         Outside Contractors

It has been noticed that outside contractors are not using proper safety  procedures when doing work on our property.  The Committee was informed that every contractor is given a package of Rules and Regulations that they must sign off.  All workers, once they are on our property, must follow our rules, regulations and safety procedures and it is up to us to enforce.

d)         Vests on Buses

It was expressed that reflective vests should be available to operators in case of a breakdown especially on the highway.  Committee agreed that the process on how to handle breakdown procedures needs to be addressed and procedures written.

e)         Passenger Load Capacity for Highway Vehicle

The Operations Worker Rep expressed, with regards to the Wonderland Route, confusion as to what the regulation for the passenger load capacity of a bus is.  The Management Co chair stated that it is 1/3 over the seating capacity.  The Committee asked that the Manager of Service Delivery give the Route Supervisors clarification on passenger loads.
